HIKE4CANCER COLORADO TRAIL HIKE
JULY 28th ---> SEPTEMBER 10th

"The magnificent Colorado Trail is a continuous, recreational trail

that crosses Colorado for nearly 500 miles from Denver to Durango. The trail passes through 6 national forests and 6 wilderness areas, traverses 5 major river systems and penetrates 8 of the states

mountain ranges."

The hike kicks off on Wednesday, July 28th, 2010 at Waterton Canyon (Just west of Denver, CO). Each day is marked with the miles to hike and what mile marker we are camping at in "The Colorado Trail Databook". All days are prone to change due to weather.

Along the hike, Pete will play concerts and festivals in Colorado towns. The hike will finish on September 10th, 2010 in Durango, Co. The proceeds from all hike sponsors, silent auctions, raffles, and individual donations at each show will go to benefit There With Care. You can sponsor Pete on each and every mile of the hike. Just think, 10 cents per mile x 500 miles = $50 to help kids and their family. Please help in any way you can, no donation is too big or too small. THANK YOU VERY MUCH for being a part of such a wonderful cause!

****************************************************************************************
THINGS TO REMEMBER:

FEET are the most important thing. Last year I had the wrong shoes and paid for it with blisters throughout the whole hike. Shoes are equipment....

Pack as light as you can. The 1st three supply towns I came to last year I ended up taking things out that I didn't need. Examples: That 3rd pair of socks / extra food / too much water when there was enough along the way, etc, etc.
